In good SA company at Decanter World Wine Awards 2021
Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 once again validated our shooting star this year; Du Toitskloof Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc 2020.
Our special Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc made from Breedekloof grapes was under the top 5 South African Sauvignon Blancs at the latest Decanter World Wine Awards. We celebrate Brand South Africa and feel honoured to be in good company. The top 5 South African Sauvignon Blancs were:
KWV Cathedral Cellar Sauvignon Blanc 2019 (Paarl)
Ghost Corner Sauvignon Blanc 2020 (Cape Agulhas)
Diemersdal The Journal Sauvignon Blanc 2020 (Durbanville)
Quoin Rock Vine Dried Sauvignon Blanc 2019 (Stellenbosch)

There were 18,094 entries from 56 countries and 605 wines from SA made it onto the Decanter list
For 15 consecutive days 170 expert wine judges tasted all the wines and awarded the following:
50 Best in Show, 179 Platinum (97+ pts), 635 Gold (95-96 pts), 5607 Silver (90-94 pts), 8332 Bronze (86-89 pts)
South Africa had 1 Best in Show, 9 Platinum, 39 Gold, 379 Silver and 177 Bronze
Du Toitskloof as Winery and Producer also proudly produces Land’s End Wines. We entered the entire Land’s End range into the competition and received accolades for all the wines. Our Land’s End Cape Agulhas Syrah 2018 was also awarded 94 points making it the highest-scoring Shiraz/Syrah from the Cape Agulhas region and Agulhas Wine Triangle.
